What is it?
Implantation- this is what happens after fertilization. Implantation bleeding happens when your fertilized egg attaches to the uterine wall or the attachment of the ovum to the endometrium. This Leads to blood spotting from the vagina. In 30% of women it is accompanied by bleeding.
When and how long?
Implantation bleeding may last anywhere from a few hours to a few days. If you are concerned with the duration of implantation bleeding, see your doctor.
6-12 days after ovulation, on average 22-25 day cycle. Lasts no longer than 3 days.
What does implantation bleeding look like?
Implantation Bleeding does not contain blood clots, which often appear during mensuration. Typically, the spotting from implantation bleeding is not heavy, and it is light pink and/or brownish in color.
